They were reading books, magazines and newspapers while relaxing in their umbrella shaded beach chairs. The sun glinted off of the warm aqua blue water from the Aegean and both both new and experienced were within the moment.

Halkidiki has three peninsulas: Cassanra, Sithonia and Mt Athos. Cassandra peninsular is incredibly popular with tourists, with Polichrono being one of several quieter villages. There are the typical sun loungers available across the beach simply a couple of aquatic sports as it is a greater portion of a sun worshipper’s beach than other things, but it comes with ideal facilities with the bars and restaurants on the sea front. If you’re looking for more activities for the beach then perhaps Hanioti Beach would be considerably better to suit your needs. Hanioti’s beach flies the Blue Flag of purity and it is a great long stretch of pristine sand and clear waters offering a wide variety of aquatic sports, like boating, snorkelling and jet skiing, and others. Sithonia, the next peninsula of Halkidiki, which forms the central peninsula of Hakidiki, is a nature lover’s paradise with rugged landscapes, wild vegetation, mountainous hamlets, picturesque harbors and deserted beaches. Most areas not have the usual trappings of civilization and so are ideal getaways in case you need to be faraway from the maddling crowds. Sithonia beaches certainly are a symphony of varied hues. Aquamarine waters, dark hills covered in serene pine vegetation, set from the clear blue skies are breathtakingly beautiful rolling around in its simplistic allure. But visitors do not have to exactly rough it in a very sleeping bag under the starry sky, in order for there can be a few hotels to choose from, and even a deluxe complex having an 18-hole the game, tennis court and aquatic events centers. Horseback riding over the pine woods in Sithonia is certainly an experience unequalled any place in Greece. The focus of activity in traditional villages is the main square. Driving the present day well-maintained arteries that hug the coastline in the peninsulas made exploring easy. A few interior roads access villages within the hills. It was rare to find lost especially armed with the well-written and informative guide ‘Halkidiki Inside Your Dreams’ through the Halkidiki Tourism Organization. Yet even when one did require a wrong turn, they would be apt to locate a small Orthodox church on the side in the road, a centuries old Byzantine tower, an archeological site from antiquity in a field, another secluded beach and everywhere the sweeping vistas of farmland and blue water.
